From Meals to Meaningful Moments: New Playground for Red Bay Primary

Mise en Place & Co. is proud to support the development of a new playground for Red Bay Primary School - a much‑needed project that will bring renewed joy, safety, and opportunity for play to children in the Red Bay community.

Our team has been part of the Red Bay Primary family for many years through our school catering service, Yum, providing nourishing meals that help students thrive throughout their day. Being trusted to feed Cayman’s children is a responsibility we hold with deep pride, and supporting their wellbeing beyond the lunch table feels like a natural extension of that mission.

For our Founder, Sean Collins, this initiative reflects a long‑standing commitment to Cayman’s future generations.

“Supporting our schools means supporting Cayman’s tomorrow,” said Collins. “Red Bay Primary has welcomed us into their community for years, and it’s important to us that we give back in ways that truly matter. A playground isn’t just equipment - it’s a space where children grow, imagine, and feel safe.”

The project also received strong support from Red Bay Member of Parliament Mr A. Roystn (Roy) Tatum, Cert. Hon, who shared that the idea grew from early conversations with Collins.

“After being elected, I learned that Red Bay Primary needed additional playground equipment, so I reached out to Sean. Without hesitation, he and his company agreed to donate $20,000 toward the first phase,” said Tatum. “I’m extremely grateful for this generous contribution and for the continued support of the PTA, Principal Dr. Ryan Dale, and the entire staff. Investing in our children is one of the best investments we can make in the future of our country.”
